A Swedish scientific study has now shown that elite football players are far from unintelligent. In fact, the opposite appears to be true, and the study was published in the highly respected PNAS.

Predrag Petrovic, who led the study at Karolinska Institutet, worked together with researchers from University of Oxford, Aarhus University, University of Bologna, CQUniversity Australia, and Rio de Janeiro State University to examine the differences between elite football players and the general population.
